| Who Are We? |
| Crossways International (CI) is
a non-profit, interdenominational ministry established in 1979
by Australian pastor, Dr. Harry Wendt. We are committed to fostering
biblical literacy, and offer a variety of workshops
and effective study materials designed to equip people to understand
the written Word, so they might better come to know, believe
in, and follow the Living Word, Jesus the Messiah. |
| Where Can You Find Us? |
| Although CI is headquartered in
Minneapolis, Minnesota, our materials are being
used in more than 45 countries. To date, more
than 35,000 pastors, teachers, and leaders from all denominations
have been trained to use them—15,000 in South Korea alone.
CI regularly conducts teaching workshops throughout the United
States and around the world. |
| What Is Our Purpose? |
| Our goal is to help people grasp
the one big story that unfolds in the pages
of the Bible—and to see all the threads that weave their
way through the biblical narrative from beginning to end. We
are convinced that it is impossible to appreciate fully the
enormous impact of Jesus’ life and ministry—and
understand the implications for our lives today—without
seeing Him in the political, historical, and religious context
of His day. |

lay-leaders, students, parents—anyone with a heart
for Christian discipleship—with practical, field-tested
tools that, in turn, help others to know and share the mind,
message, and mission of Jesus. Our versatile courses can be
used for adult and youth education programs, sermon material,
family faith development, and many other applications. |
| What Distinguishes Our Teaching
Resources? |
| All course materials from Crossways
International incorporate specially designed teaching
graphics that boost the student’s ability to
grasp—and then remember, share, and apply—key faith
concepts. Furthermore, the materials take a “big picture”
approach to understanding the full sweep of
the biblical narrative, helping people tie all their “bits
and pieces” of Bible knowledge together into a cohesive
whole. |
| What Can You Expect? |
| We hear it all the time. People
refer to it as an “a-ha!” experience.
When people begin to understand Jesus within the sweep of the
biblical narrative—to connect the dots between the Old
and New Testaments—they begin to understand how radical
He was…and still is! Like the disciples of old, their
eyes begin to open—along with their hearts. They understand
what it means to belong to a Kingdom where the King is a foot-washing
servant—a servant-without-limit. |
| How Does Visual Learning Make
a Difference? |
| CI’s materials make use of
hundreds of graphics, which serve as a kind of “visual
vocabulary” for Bible study. Although it may
take a little time to become familiar with the symbols, they
are a highly effective tool to help people understand, remember,
and ultimately apply the Bible’s lessons to real life.
Furthermore, the teaching graphics communicate effectively where
language barriers might exist; for example, in ministry
to the deaf, prison outreach, and in multicultural or polylingual
congregations. |
