Biblical Overview Courses

Crossways International offers four courses—at increasing levels of depth and intensity—that trace the grand storyline that runs through the entire Bible. Some people prefer to start with the shorter courses to whet appetites for deeper study; some are ready for the big plunge into the two-year Crossways course. Either way, people will connect the “bits & pieces” of the Old and New Testaments together like never before!

Topical Short Courses

Crossways International's six other short courses focus on biblical issues and themes that contribue greatly to the development of Christian faith and discipleship today. These highly adaptable courses can be used in a variety of ways—as a preaching aid, or as curricula for adult or youth education—and may be used on their own or to supplement existing programs. All are well-suited to both group and individual study.

  What Jesus and the New Testament teach about stewardship & life management.
• An Apostles’ Creed for the New Millennium (4 Units)
  An analysis of the ancient Creed, and its mesage to God's people today.
• Christmas: The Real Story (4 Units)
  An Advent study that analyzes the nativity narratives in Matthew and Luke. It also draws on Middle Eastern cultural insights to make people more awae of the real Christmas story.
• Praying Like Jesus the Messiah (5 Units)
  A study on how Jesus redefined the focus and practice of prayer.
• Road to Coronation (6 Units)
  A Lenten study that analyzes the Passion narrative in each of the four Gospels.
• The Parables of Jesus (10 Units)
  A study that focuses on 11 of Jesus' parables recorded in Luke's Gospel, drawing upon Middle Eastern cultural insights to enrich our understanding of their message.
