Rev. Robert C. Johnson of Norwood Park Lutheran Church in Chicago, Illinois, is using Copying Our Master message cards both within and outside his congregation.
He says, “I recently passed out the cards to people at a reception following our worship service on Confirmation Sunday. Guests were visiting with one another – seated at tables or standing in groups – and I went around the room handing out the cards as a token of appreciation for them coming that day. My hope is that the message on the cards will have a spiritual impact for each of their lives.
Outside of our church setting, I find the cards effective at the Chicago Metro Train Station. At supper time, I can stand at the platform and pass out the cards to very busy people as they get off the trains. I hand them a card, make a reference to the Christian Education program at our church that focuses on The Bible for Busy People. If they cannot attend, I point out on the back of the message card the address and phone number for ordering this DVD from Crossways International.
